Actress-host Ruffa Gutierrez on Sunday lashed out at her former boyfriend, John Lloyd Cruz, for his “inconsistencies” and “indecisions.”
On her entertainment show “Paparazzi,” an obviously irritated Gutierrez dared Cruz to stand behind his vow not to call her ever again.
This after Cruz, who confirmed calling his former girlfriend while she was in Lebanon after initially denying it, publicly announced that he is staying away from Gutierrez to put a stop to all speculations about them.
Gutierrez countered that Cruz should just walk his talk.
"It's not enough that you are cute and lovable, you also have to have a backbone. At kung hindi mo kayang panindigan ang mga ginagawa mo, huwag mo na lang gawin at huwag mo na lang akong tawagan because I have better things to do,” Gutierrez said.
She lamented that ever since she was romantically linked to the Box Office King, 27, she had been called many names.
"Ang dami ko ng narinig na naninira sa akin. Kung ano ano ang pangalan na itinawag sa akin ng mga tao -- laos, ginagamit ko lang siya for publicity, matrona, matanda. All of a sudden naging matanda ako bigla, hindi ba?” the 36-year-old actress said.
“Nandito ako sa industriyang ito hindi para manggamit, hindi para sumikat dahil matagal na akong kilala ng tao. I'm here because this is my job, I have two kids at kailangan ko silang buhayin,” she added.
Gutierrez said Cruz’s “inconsistencies” and “indecisions” are already affecting other people.
"Because hindi niya alam kung ano ang gusto niya sa buhay niya, marami ang taong nasasaktan. Maraming taong naapakan, maraming relationship ang nasisira…. But you know dahil sa kanyang indecisions sa buhay at ang mga patawag-tawag niya at hindi niya alam ang ginagawa niya, marami ang nasasaktan," she noted.
After Cruz’s admission, Gutierrez said she feels vindicated because the truth is finally out.
She said: “In the first place, hindi naman ako ang nagpakalat na tumatawag siya sa akin. It was Mo (Twister)…. At kapag ni-review ninyo ang lumabas noon, I didn't even deny it or I didn't even admit it."
