Is she bitter or not?

This question was asked to young actress Kim Chiu amid her reported break-up with rumored boyfriend and longtime on-screen partner Gerald Anderson.

"Hindi ako bitter, ano ba?” Chiu told the entertainment press.

Chiu, who will next appear in “Your Song Presents: Kim 2,” said she's not the kind of person who will harbor ill feelings toward anyone.

The issue stemmed from recent reports that the young actress is spending her Christmas alone in another country. Others speculated that this might be because she is still in pain after the supposed split up. Anderson was then linked to actress Bea Alonzo.

Chiu said: "Hindi naman po ganoon. Kahit po sino ay puwedeng umalis mag-isa at makakita ng snow para maiba naman."

Chiu explained that it has been her longtime dream to spend Christmas in a country where there is snow. She also divulged that she might meet with some of her fans during her 4-day vacation.

Chiu was also asked to comment on the reported Anderson-Alonzo break-up. She, however, kept her distance from the issue.

"Hindi ko pa po alam 'yon at hindi ko sila nakikita. At ayokong magsalita tungkol doon kasi hindi ko buhay 'yon," Chiu said.

“Mas maraming salita, mas marami pong nasasaktan, mas maraming natatamaan. Kaya mas pinili ko po na huwag na lang pong sagutin ang mga ‘yan and tumahimk na lang dahil ayoko po ng gulo. Huwag na po, hayaan ninyo na," Chiu added.

When asked if she's speaking with Alonzo, Chiu answered in affirmative. “Hindi naman kami magkagalit. Bakit naman kami magkakagalit?”

She said she is even ready to work with Alonzo in “Your Song.”

On her and Anderson’s reported split up, Chiu made this appeal: “Respeto na lang ninyo po sa amin ni Gerald. Ibalato na lang ninyo sa amin ‘yon, kung ano man ang nangyari."

She said she is also not ready to get into a relationship.

Chiu and Anderson's love team faced the toughest controversy last month. This after Chiu, Anderson and Star Magic admitted that the actor and Alonzo were getting death threats from the rabid fans of “Kimeralds.”

Now, the death threat issue is over, according to Chiu.

The "Tayong Dalawa" lead star also stressed that what’s important is that she is happy, and that she and Anderson remain friends.

"Sobrang saya kasi ang daming blessings na dumarating, may mga shows, endorsements at mga bagong kaibigan kaya masaya pa," Chiu said.

Reports said Chiu, like Anderson, is set to do projects with new on-screen partners including Piolo Pascual. Anderson, on the other hand, will reportedly be paired with Sarah Geronimo.

It was also reported that Chiu would appear in a Jackie Chan film. According to reports, the project has been shelved after the Filipino actress turned down the offer.

Chiu denied that she rejected the project. “Ako tatangi kay Jackie Chan? Hello. Sayang ‘yon.”

She added that the project might still push through.
